Hi ridge rider - Would you be able to provide a quick update on the trail conditions at Colonie. Are trails ice covered and studs required for riding? Or are the trails mostly ice free and regular mtb tires will be OK. Thanks!

The trails have some ice areas, but studs are not needed. The snow cover provides enough traction over the ice.I ve been riding there all week its great. Cool

As of 2:00 pm today, I would say Colonie is the least icy riding spot in the capital district. Studs are not needed- in fact, they're more of a hindrance on the off-camber rocky stuff like the spot down along the river. Ask me how I know.

Also, someone has been expanding the trails.

I am soooo fake pre-loading this image so the navigation doesn*t skip while loading the over state. I know I could use the sliding doors technique to avoid this fate, but I am too lazy.
